There are many reasons why crime is growing. First, since the advanced development of technology, people have a chance to access various types of entertainment which might be violent and negative, such as movies and games, on social media. In fact, since violent scenes in movies and games are being perceived as normal or even positive nowadays, this might influence people’s behaviors, especially towards teenagers, which leads to immoral acts in reality. Second, drug abuse has an adverse impact on the brain, which makes people lose their ability of behavioral control. For example, many countries with less restriction on the usage of addicts have a higher rate of crime than countries banning drug consumption.

However, measures must be taken by governments and international bodies to change negative attitudes towards crime. First, relevant authorities should impose a restriction against aggressive and immoral content on social media as well as improve people’s awareness in absorbing online information. In fact, if less violent content is perceived as normal, people will not mimic these activities, resulting in a decrease in the crime rate. Second, the law inhibiting drug consumption should be introduced in order to decrease drug consumption. The brain will not be affected adversely, which makes people think like normal citizens.

In conclusion, the increase in the rate of criminal activities is caused by a huge number of reasons. Nevertheless, there are still many solutions to mitigate this problem.
