The creative,the finance and "with the finances"

Dance is the least paid of the performing arts. I have been able to balance the creative with the finance.

'Dance is my love, my mistress, my passion'
Please explain the use of "the" before "creative" and "finance" and also the use and meaning of "with" in the example.
