The country was under occupation/under partitions

Dear Users,

Is the expression under partitions commonly used in English when describing a country that is being occupied by a 2 or more foreign invaders? I suppose we can say that a country is under occupation but perhaps the meaning is slightly different.

Thank you!

A country can be partitioned by an occupying force; I've neither heard of nor can I find a reference to "occupation under partitions"; a country could, for example, be described as "partitioned under occupation" or "occupied and subsequently partitioned".
