The conjunction "granted"

* The following is the part of the review of a Japan comic.
Not that amazing. Granted the fansubs I used many times had questionable translations, but it was still obvious that the story spent much more time talking and reviewing via infodump old things rather than going in a fresh direction.

I think the conjunction "granted" introduce a concessive clause in my example.
If so, I'd like to know if the conjunction "granted" can play the role of either a causal conjunction or concessive conjunction.
