Is it natural to use 'ripple' instead of 'shake'?

It seems to be better as "shake" implies the whole physical screen shakes. Another word is "shivers".

I think that no matter what verb is used to describe the action, we must assume that the reader will understand that it is not the screen itself that shakes/ripples/shivers/whatever, but rather the image on the screen.
