The complex meaning of light word "past" only to me

Hello~ Nice day.
This is Seon Woong from lively Gwangju, Korea.
I was curious to know the word "past" in detail.
When I was tring to know this word throught the site "OneLook", I found the explanatory statement:

  • adverb: so as to pass a given point (Example: "Every hour a train goes past")
