The company refused to accept any blame for the damage.

1. The company refused to accept any blame for the damage.

2. The company didn't take responsibility for the damage.

The first sentence I found at English dictionary and the second one I created myself.

Is the second sentence correct?

If "yes", is there any basically difference between 1st and 2nd in the meaning?

Quite frankly, the second is more natural for me Emotion: smile
