The comma

Hi Everyone,

I'm pretty good with using commas, but I would like to know what you think about the following sentence:

Mary said to her sister, "I don't think the loan is a good idea," but she had much more to say on the matter than just this.

I'm wondering if I need the comma after 'idea'.

Thanks,
