That's way too Latinate.

The idiom in English is "to run out of". Everybody says it. It's as common as mud. You definitely have to learn this one.

I've run out of cigarettes.

The builders ran out of money to complete the work.
I couldn't finish the test because I ran out of time.
Have you ever run out of gas while you were driving to work?
