A. Is either "the church of Colegn" or "the Colegn's church" correct in thr following sentences?

1. The church of Colegn is the biggest church in Germany.

2. The Colegn's church is the biggest church in Germany.

B. Is the intial "the" in the second sentence optional?

No, no, no. You don't want those. It's Cologne Cathedral. Note the spelling.

Cologne Cathedral is the biggest church in Germany.

There is no 'the' in the name.
