I have made up the sentences below.
(1a) I'll pick up my parcel from the post office tomorrow.
(2a) I'll buy a computer from ABC Store tomorrow.
My non-native English speaking friends changed the preposition to "at".
(1b) I'll pick up my parcel at the post office tomorrow.
(2b) I'll buy a computer at ABC Store tomorrow.
Which preposition is correct? Thank you very much for your help.
"at" is the expected preposition, but "from" is not wrong. When I hear that you're going to buy something from a certain store, I have the impression that you are selecting that store from among several stores you have shopped at previously, and you have finally decided that that particular store has the best products and/or the best prices, so you're going to buy the product from that store and not from the others.
