The bar charts illustrate the weight assessment of residents in Charlestown in 1955 and 2015. Overall, inhabitants of Charlestown in 1955 were healthier than them in 2015.

It is apparent to see that in 1995, the percentage of underweight people in the 20-29 age group was well over ten percents more than that in the 60-69 age group, however, after 20 years, the ratio of citizens being underweight in the 20-29 age group was about doubled that in the 60-69 age group. Meanwhile, about one percent residents aged 30-59 were underweight in 2015. Moreover, the rate of inhabitants having ideal weight was always highest in the age group 20-29 with approximately 70% in two years. Especially, in the first year, a half of residents aged 60-69 had ideal weight, nonetheless, there was only three percent of them having ideal weight in the second year.

Turning to other categories, in 2015, the proportion of overweight inhabitants aged 60-69 increased fivefold while the ratio of overweight residents in the 50-59 age group halved. Additionally, although in the first year, there was not any residents aged from 20 to 29 and 30-39 age group being obese, the rate of obesity in those age groups was one percent and ten percents respectively. Besides, in 1995 the rate of obese residents was highest in 60-69 age group with about three-fifths which was twelve times more than that in 2015. Just under ten percent less was the percentage of obese inhabitants aged from 50 to 59.
