The charts below show the changes in ownership of electrical appliances and amount of time spent doing housework in households in one country between 1920 and 2019.
The line graphs illustrate the electrical appliances ownership and how much time spent on housework per week in the year of 1920-2019.
Overall, the ownership of electronic gadgets shows upward trend and the time cosumed in work follows downward trend in the given period.
To be more specific, in 1920, 30% households had vacuum cleaner which was 10% more than the washing machine. However, in the year 1960, the percentage of both the appliances observed equal at 70%. In latter years, vacuum cleaner ownership increased about 100% which was similar to the refrigerator in 2019. And the washing machine reached the peak of 75% with little fluctuation. The ownership of washing machine was neal in 1920.
In 1920, 50% of time consumed housework. Which continue fall down to 15% in 1980. Till the one year it remained same. And in the last year it decreased little to 11%.
