The bar chart illustrates time spent by the UK residents of telephone calls over the period 7 years. While national and international-fixed line and mobiles had an upward trend, the opposite was true for local-fixed line between 1995 and 2002.

It can be seen from the chart that local-fixed line had the highest number of minutes called by British people out of two rest categories. Although there was a gradual increase in the quantity of time from over 70 billion to 90 billion minutes between 1995 and 1999, it deceased steadily to about 70 billion minutes in 2002.

It is clear that the total number of minutes of cellphone calls used by the UK people in national and international-fixed line rose markedly from just under 40 billion to 60billion minutes. Moreover, that of mobiles grew significantly by 40 billion minutes from 1995 to 2002.
