The column chart compares the proportion of women and men who took the driving test successfully, which was recorded every ten years from 1980 to 2010, in an Asian country. In general, women were more likely to pass the test throughout the entire period. In 2000, the percentages were the highest compared to other years.
The Women column group shows higher percentages than those in the Men column group. From nearly 50% in 1980, the proportion slightly rose to about 52% in 1990. The highest rate registered was approximately 68%, which belongs to the Women sector in 2000. Ten years later, this value slumped to 63%, which is the second-highest percentage in the chart.
Regarding men, the pattern is relatively similar, although the statistics are much lower. The likelihood of men passing the driving test was the lowest in 1980 with only below 30% of male participants, which is only two-thirds of its corresponding value in the Women sector. A notable difference is that the percentage of men who passed the test persisted in ten years from 2000.
