The given chart compares the number of male and female students in higher learning in Britain in 3 different phases of time and their kinds of studying. Overall, there is an upward trend of full-time education in both genders. The opposite is true for males working for part-time education. Talking about males, from 1970 to 1981, the number of men students learning as part-time students steadily decreased from 1000 thousand to nearly 900 thousand people, then it gradually increased to 950 thousand students in the year of 1991. On the other hand, females spent time studying part-time education crept regularly from more than 700 in 1970 to approximately 800 thousand people. After that, it jumped sharply to nearly 1110 thousand students in 1991. On the flip side, the number of males who chose full-time education steadily went up from 150 thousand in 1970 to more than 200 thousand people in 1991. In contrast, female students studying full-time education rocketed sharply from nearly 100 thousand people to more than 200 thousand people in 1981, then it gradually climbed to roughly 250 students in 1991.
