The chart below shows the changes that took place in three different areas of crime in NewPort city center from 2003-2012.

The line chart illustrates how the three various crime types, namely burglary, car theft and robbery changed in the center of New Port city over the period of 10 years from 2003 to 2012.

It is obvious from the given line graph that all the numbers of burglary, car theft and robbery incidents decreased during the period shown. Additionally, the figure for robbery ones was by far lowest.

In 2003, the quantity of burglaries was highest, at around 3400, while the figure for car theft was significant lower, at roughly 27000. At the same time, there were only 600 cases of robbery happening in New Port city center. In 2008, there was a sharp fall in the number of burglaries and reached the bottom of approximate 1200. Slight falling trends can also be seen in the cases of car theft and robbery, with the figures of about 2100 and 500 respectively.

After 5 years, car theft incidents fluctuated slightly but became the highest figure, at about 2400. Similarly, there was also a minimal variation in the number of burglaries with almost the same figure in 2008 while that of robbery remained relatively stable at about 600.
