the canterville ghost

'The Canterville Ghost' which is the second masterpiece from Lord Arthur Savile's Crime was published in 2000. The author introduced the character of Hiram B Otis, his wife, their oldest son; Washington and the daughters named Virginia as well as the naughty twins. This classic story started when Otis made up his mind to buy the Canterville Chase even though the lord had told him that the house was haunted.Otis still stand in his words as their family never believe in ghost.Actually, the ghost was Sir Simon de Canterville who had killed his wife in the house. He disturbed the people in the house by making the noise of his stained chain. The story is quite strange but very funny because the family members did not afraid of the ghost especially Virginia. She talked to the ghost bravely and willingly to spent herself with the ghost in the other world behind the wall for a few days. She decided to do so after the ghost friendly telling her about his past life and his problems as well. In addition, Virginia was very interested to know more about the ghost. As the resolution, she came back to her real world with the jewel box safely. At the end, Virginia and her family visited the ghost who had sicked and after the death of the ghost, she buried his body at the place that he wanted as it was his last wish.In my opinion, the author successfully wrote this story as it is very interesting. 'The Canterville Ghost' is actually the simple one but full of new vocabulary. It is suitable for all levels . I guarantee that everyone will satisfied with the plot throughout the story and never feel bored reading it.
