The boys will meet their fathers or father

Hi all,

I am a bit confused about the the following sentences.

The boys will meet their father soon. or
The boys will meet their fathers soon.

Does the first sentence mean the boys have the same father, so only one father or each boy sees his own father?

If I like to say the boys see their own father, what is the right expression ?

Thanks,

Ali

The boys will meet their father soon. = The boys are brothers (either natural or adopted). They have one father.

The boys will meet their fathers soon. Each boy will meet his father. Of course, some of the boys might be brothers and share the same man as father..
