The boy to be given up
Hi,
Can someone help me in identifying the grammar in the following phrase: "the boy to be given up ..."
"Boy" is the noun. Is "to be given up" an adjective phrase modifying "boy"? "Given" is a past participle, I think. Is this somehow passive? This is throwing me off. Thanks.
