The box has a label on it.

Hello,

"The box has a label on it" is correct English.

According to my grammar book, "The box has a label" is incorrect. Well, I never say it that way but is that claim true? I googled it and found too many matches without the "on it", such as "The box has a label which reads..." etc.

Thanks in advance for your answers! Emotion: smile
