Which is the appropriate preposition in the phrase "the best in/of the world"?
E.g.: He's the best singer in the world. He's the best singer of the world.
Usually a superlative is followed by 'in' ("the highest mountain in the world"), but Google generates a lot more search results for "the best of the world" than "the best in the world".
Thanks for helping me clarifying this matter.
