'The' Before Adjectives Related to Proper Nouns

Hi. Is it necessary (or possible) to use 'the' before adjectives related to proper nouns? I mean not proper adjectives but simple adjectives standing before proper nouns. For example:

With this custom theme, you will not recognize (the) familiar Windows.

This modification changes the texture resolution leaving (the) vanilla Skyrim intact.
