the bed I had just bought two weeks before/ago

And then I rolled out of the bed I had just bought two weeks before from Ikea.

Hi,
Is "before" in the above interchangeable with "ago?" If not, what are the reasons? Thanks.

No, 'ago' references only from 'Now''; 'before' references a point previous to another past time.
