The battery of my cell phone is dead or flat

Which of the following sentences is correct?

1) The battery of my cell phone is dead.

2) The battery of my cell phone is flat.

If both are possible, do they mean the same thing?

Also, are there other ways to say this?

By the way, is it "the battery of my cell phone" or "my cell phone's battery"?

Thank you

My cell phone battery is dead. (AmE) I believe 'flat' is more usual in BrE. Also, I think you say 'my mobile' instead of 'my cell phone' in BrE.
