The bar chart shows the global sales of 4 different types of digital games over a period of 6 years.

The given chart illustrates the turnover in dollars from sales of video games for four different platforms, namely mobile phone, online, console and handheld devices from 2000 to 2006.

Overall, it can be seen that handheld games were the most popular type in terms of revenue through given years. The industry also saw a sales decline in games played on the console platform while it saw a rapid growth in sales of online games and mobile phone games.

In 2001, the amount of money generated from handheld games was highest, at nearly 12 billion dollars while the figure for console games was much lower, at 6 million dollars. No information was given on the other types of digital games.

After 2 years, sales turnover from handheld games rose gradually to 14 billion dollars while there was a considerable decline of about 5 billion dollars in console game sales. At the same time, online games and Mobile phone games started to become popular, achieving nearly 1 billion dollars each.
