The diagram illustrates ten most produced and consumed energy countries in the world in 2014.
The top country was China in 2014. Its production and consumption were up to around 5,350 billion kWh: the most consumed and produced electricity country. Followed-up after China was the U.S. with over 4 trillion kWh production and nearly 3.9 trillion kWh of consumption. Russia was in the top 3; they consumed the amount of energy equal to which they produced. As compared to 2 top countries, Russia’s consumption and production only one-fourth of that of the U.S. and one-fifth of China. Japan, India and Canada was in the 4th, 5th and 6th rank respectively. They produced and consumed all around 800 billion kWh. The rest - France, Brazil, Germany and Korea - all held up between 550 billion and 450 billion kWh of energy . Especially, Germany’s consumption was slightly greater than its production, 582.5 billion kWh and 526.6 kWh respectively.
Overall, most countries produced greater than their consumption, except for Germany which consumed more than the amount they produced.
