Overall, the rest of the world showed a predominant presence in all the surveyed services and manufacturing. Furthermore, the most significant difference in exports between the rest of the United Kingdom and the world was on service to businesses, hotels, and restaurants.

In terms of businesses, hotels, and restaurants service, Scotland exported about 13.8 to the rest of the world, which was over ten times as much as it did to the rest of the United Kingdom. By 2014, the rest of the world had earned 8.2 from Scotland in wholesale and retail, compared to 1.1 that the other countries in the United Kingdom had received. Other manufacturing, agriculture, forestry, fishing and mining industry, other service and Chemical and mineral products brought 5.9, 2.4, 3 and 9.5 respectively from the rest of the world, which was nearly five, four, three and two times as much as the amount of money that those industries generated consequentially for Scotland in 2014 from the global export.
