One of the songs of Morcheeba mentions the following:

I´d like to impress you with the backs of my soul...

Although I can imagine (by the context) which is the meaning, I would like to know what does it mean exactly.

I don't know, perhaps it's just made to fit the rhythm. It seems to be a permutation of the depths of my soul -- my deepest inward being. )-- They wanted me here just to show you my face, But when it comes to the crunch, I just hide in disgrace.
