Most dictionaries see "worth" as an adjective, but in practice, it is almost always followed by a noun or a gerund. IMHO, I think it's better classified as a prep. What do you think? Thanks.

I think Angliholic’s question is a valid & interesting one that deserves some attention & discussion.
