The Antonym of " To play fair"

1) If your team played fair, yours wouldn't beat mine.

What is the antonym of " to play fair" ? I heard some english native speaker said " to play foul", is it correct? but I can not find any phrase " to play foul" in the dictionary. there is only compound noun " foul play.

Thanks a lot for your kind help

You could just use 'cheat', but 'play foul' seems like a reasonable collocation to me. There are some reputable examples on the internet:
