The analysis of a sentence

Gracie: Hi.
Priscilla: Thanks for coming.
Gracie: Since we're in class, I would like to share with you something I learned just recently.
Little lesson which is, people may care about people who care about themselves, but I just don't
really care about those people.
Priscilla: Not really following you.

1. It is little lesson that people may care about people who care about themselves, but I just don't really care about those people.
2. Little lesson which is that people may care about people who care about themselves, but I just don't really care about those people.

I'd like to know if the underlined sentence is interpreted either as #1 or as #2.
Thank you in advance for your help.

Dear Park, There is a good reason why Priscilla said to Gracie - "Not really following you"; it was because the meaning of Gracie's sentence was not grammatically clear. I have the same problem as Priscilla. If the conversation had continued, then hopefully Gracie would have clarified the meaning of her poorly constructed sentence.
