The advantage rests/stays/lays in...

HI
I'm trying to say that for some aspects Yahoo is better than Google because it's a portal. Which is better:
"The advantages of Yahoo over Google LAY/STAY/REST in its nature of portal."

Oh, some other things:
a) is "OVER" correct in this context?
b) "OF portal" or "AS A portal"?
Thank you.
