the following is the abstract of my paper, can anyone help me to see if I have something wrong grammatically. Thank you in advance!

Abstract: the failure of the Separator “STOP A” position during on-power fuelling has been frequently appeared since operation of the plant, which brings some risk to the on-power fuelling. In order to solve the problem of “STOP A” position failure, through the study of “STOP A” position calibration method and the causes of the failure, by using the Separator position calibration tool on FMTR(fuelling machine test rig) to measure the retractor potentiometer voltage change caused by moving the inserted feeler 0.084in horizontally and due to the two sided inserted feelers are not in a plane, improve the calibration method by adding a uncertain voltage valuev ?U based on the setpoint of the retractor “back” position instead of a constant value. Through the practice of the new calibration method , the frequency of the “STOP A” position position has been dramatically lowed and the problem has been effectively improved.

The next sentence is so long and complicated that I cannot parse it.

1. The failure of the separator “STOP A” position (I don't understand how a position can fail. Is it the operation of the separator fails when the dial or switch is in this position? Or does the position not hold?)
"STOP A" position is one of the Separator's position, the fuelling machine need to find the "STOP A" position during the on-power fuelling, but it often fail to find it.
So is it better to say:"The failure of finding the separator “STOP A” position "?

2.which brings some risk to the on-power fueling. (what risk? Environmental damage, explosion, shut-down? It is not clear.)
the failure of finding "STOP A" position causes a lot of problems, it needs operator's intervention which gives the risk of the fuelling job.
So how should I say?

Oh, yes, this makes me a headache. But let me try to explain:
we study the calibration method and the causes of the failure, and we use a special tool on a test rig to measure the voltage change when the feeler moves 0.084in, and also measure the voltage change caused by the two sides feelers which are not in a plane, and finally we improve the calibration method by using the measurement.
I hope I am clear on this point.

Qinshan NPP3 started operations, which risks the on-power fuelling job. In order to solve the problem of finding “STOP A” position failure, through the study of “STOP A” position calibration method and the causes of the failure, and by using the separator position dedicated calibration tool on FMTR(fuelling machine test rig) to measure the retractor potentiometer voltage change caused by moving the inserted feeler 0.084in horizontally and by the two sided inserted feelers are not in a plane, improve the calibration method by adding a uncertain voltage value ?U based on the calibration on FMTR to the setpoint of the retractor “back” position setpoint instead of a constant value. Using the new calibration method , the frequency of finding the “STOP A” position failure has been dramatically lowed and the situation has been effectively improved.

Then we improve the calibration method according to the voltage measurement. The improvement of calibration is that we add a unconstant voltage (?U) to the setpoint of "BACK" position instead of a constant one.
