I'd say that the most common abbreviations are Mon Tues Wed Thurs Fri Sat Sun. Strictly speaking, follow each one with a periood, although sometimes we don't.

You'll also see three-letter abbreviations, which once again tend to be favoured particularly by computer people. Mon Tue Wed Thu Fri Sat Sun
