The school where I went to in the 2000s was very strict.

If I want to say this number in the speaking test how should I say that?!
The school where I went to in the two thousands decades / nineteen ninety decades?! are they correct?!
the 1990s are the year between 1991-2000?! and the 2000s are the year between 2001-2010?!
