Would "the" in these sentences be ok?

1. I loved the chocolate you gave me this morning.
2. A: clean the mess. B: the cleaning is all done.
3. I got flowers for the Mother's day in 1992.

The is actually use when you refer to a SPECIFIC thing or object..
like "I want to eat THE apple she gave me".-- This sentence refers to THE APPLE "she " gave.
