Speech & Pronunciation

That's / sends

0Can anyone please tell me what is the correct way to pronounce the "ts" in "that's" and "ds" in "sends"?02br
00I usually just completely ignore the T, so it's like "thas" for me, and I try as hard as possible to pronounce a "z" in sends. But I don't think it's the correct way. My "that's" doesn't sound like others' "that's" at all. I've also found pronouncing "killed that boy" really difficult, I have no idea how to pronounce that "th" right after a "d" sound. My tongue just keeps twisting.02br

0They blend together and form something that almost seems like a single sound. You should try to say T and D without making a strong sound, puffing out air, or letting your tongue drop too much. If you can say a T or a D without moving your tongue too much, you can then try to add a S or Z sound right after them. Don't let your tongue drop, it stays around there... TSSS, DZZZ. 05002br
