1. That's John standing between Jimmy and Tom.
2. It's John who is standing between Jimmy and Tom.

I'd like to know if #1 is the variation of #2.

It's John who is standing between Jimmy and Tom.
John's standing between Jimmy and Tom.
That person between Jimmy and Tom is John.
John's the one standing between Jimmy and Tom.
