That would make sense : why 'would' ?
Experts, another 'would' question:
In the converstaion below:
Woman: Maybe she was embarrased.
Man: That would make sense.
I'm wondering why the man used 'would' in his sentence. Does his sentence mean " That probably makes sense."?
