That WOULD be a good idea

Hello dear teachers??

Why "would" has been used by Mary? Why not "will"?

Peter: I think I am going to try it. Why don’t you come with me?

Mary: I am busy right now, but thank you anyway.

Peter: We can go later. I know it is too early right now.

Mary: Well OK. That would be a good idea.
