That + Whatever + Noun clause

He had also begun to consider that whatever time he did have might never include it.

'that' introduces a noun clause, which 'whatever' happens to be too? Is this even correct? And the noun clause is... ' that whatever time he did' which is inside another bigger noun clause, ' that whatever time he did have might never include it.' ? D:

Hi, yes it is normal usage, but what is the function of 'that' + 'whatever' since, 'whatever' is doing it's 'job'? like 'he had also begun to consider whatever time he did have'.. and

There is no 'that' + 'whatever'. They don't go together at all. 'whatever' goes with 'time'.
