The plant has been that way since the day we planted it.

'that way' sounds uncool Emotion: smile

Are there any other words that one can use instead of 'that way'?

here i am assuming the listener knows what attribute of the subject i am talking about..... i am trying to emphasis that the subject has been that way since xyz time.
