That was a task to which you were assigned.

Was the task assigned to me, or was I assigned to the task? Is the original sentence correct, and, if not, how'd you write it?

Thanks.

Hi,

That was a task to which you were assigned.

Was the task assigned to me, or was I assigned to the task?

I was assigned to the task.

But you can use 'assign' both ways.

eg The task was assigned to me.

eg I was assigned to the task.

Is the original sentence correct, It's fine.

and, if not, how'd you write it?
