This will help you to understand the idea of writing sequences with that use a hook, transition and thesis statement.

What does "sequences" mean here?

Are "with" a preposition and "that use a hook..." a relative clause?

what is the grammatical function of "that clause" here?

I don't think "with" should be here. ("with" is a preposition, however.)

I don't know why they used "sequences". It seems to mean just "passages", that is, "sentences".
