It's been showing up on cable a lot lately and for the life of me I can't resist it.
What a sweet, sweet movie!
And great ersatz 60s pop music.
There's a quality about this film's honest, and love for the pre-Vietnam 60s.
I'm pretty sure it was a Tom Hanks labor of love and respect him a lot for it.
I'd love to do something like it.
Maybe based in a Motown/Stax environment.
Who wants to write the music? Brand new 60s Soul, Memphis R&B, a blind genius, and a Brit blue-chedelic-psycho-reggae-rock-old-folks-dance-marathon-on-heroin superband.

One of our favorites. We own the VHS -- about wore it out -- left it in Texas when I took this "temporary" job. So we've rented it a few times here from the movie store.
I even have the music CD.
