Vocabulary

... that they link

Hello,

I'm wondering if I used "that" correctly in this sentence:

"People disapprove of those action that they link with harm."

By this sentence I want to say that if there is a connection between an action (or a behaviour) and any harm, people will disapprove of this action.

Thank you

The usage of "that" is correct. (You can substitute "which.")

"That" is used correctly however the sentence is rather confusing; I had to read it multiple times to actually comprehend it. You should try something like :
'People disapprove of actions that they believe to link with harm"

Gagan Preet Bangar'People disapprove of actions that they believe to link with harm"
I see your point, Bangar, but "believing" lacks the strength of the transitive "that they link." I think it misses the mark.
The action of linking is important to the idea.
