That there

Is that there correct - example : I hope that there is a storm tonight? Would it be better to say I hope there is a storm tonight?

Hello Guest Both are correct; but 'I hope there's a storm tonight' would probably be more natural, in spoken English. MrP

Either is correct. In case you are referring to the advice not to use "that there" as seen in grammar books, be advised that this is not what the books are referring to. The "that there" which is not recommended by many such books is the one where "that" is a demonstrative adjective. Thus, "Give me that there book!" is usually not recommended.
