That or so that?

Hi. Please help. Should it be the phrase "so that" instead of (perhaps in addition to) "that" in the underlined parts?

It made a powerful impression on her that she never forgot it.
He made enough money that he went out and bought a big house.

Anonymous Should it be the phrase "so that" instead of (perhaps in addition to) "that" in the underlined parts? No, so that doesn't really fit, and the sentences as written are not very natural. I suggest It made such a powerful impression on her that she never forgot it.
