That of a native speaker's

Hi

Your English is nearly as good [as of a native speaker / as a native speaker's / as that of a native speaker's].

I'm trying to figure out whether the last two alternatives are right?

Thanks!

Only the second is correct. "... as that of a native speaker" is also correct.

  • Only the second is correct.
  • "...
  • as that of a native speaker" is also correct.
  • "...
  • as a native speaker" (no "of") would be widely used and accepted, but in careful English is inferior in my opinion.
